Checking in with a Life Lately update before the end of the year sneaks up on all of us. I feel like a kid in school again, with these last couple of weeks before the Christmas holiday. I’m taking time off this year — maybe more than I ever have! — and in the lead up to the break, it still feels like there’s plenty of “homework” and “finals” to complete. I’m really looking forward to the end of next week, that’s for sure. What’s going on with you lately?

Here’s my tutorial on making simple, yet festive holiday floral arrangements. It features white roses, Ilex, and evergreen trimmings with a pretty ribbon accent on the vase!

Potential cookie recipe for this Saturday. If you have a fave recipe, be sure to share it below.

Check out Outdoor Voices! Their workout gear looks awesome and seems to have rave reviews (thank you, Shannon, for the recommendation!)

I like to go to Ensoma in SF for waxing and facials. This will be my first massage there, but I can’t imagine anything except pure bliss.

Diptyque’s Sapin candle, $35-$70
Outdoor Voices is the best! I got to hear Tyler the founder speak at Create & Cultivate in Chicago and she was equally awesome. PS- did you ever post the results of the couples survey from a few months ago? I’ve been looking forward to seeing everyones thoughts! Happy Holidays :)
Yes, I’m going to be publishing a follow up to that post soon! Stay tuned :)
gorgeous New Years card! xo jillian – cornflake dreams
If you buy anything from Outdoor Voices, make it their hoodie. My husband and I both bought one while visiting their store in Austin this fall and we both LIVE in them. I ordered him another one for Christmas (and one for myself too). I also love their leggings! Unfortunately, their sports bras don’t fit me well which is a bummer because they are adorable
Very good to know! I love the look of all their stuff. I’m curious about the sports bras, too; I’ll have to check ’em out and see how it goes…why do those always seem to be the challenge for everyone?!
Love the detailing on the card, very beautiful. You can also never go wrong with a candle. :)
I haven’t heard of the brand ‘Outdoor voices’ (it might be that they’re not available in the UK), but I’m going to take a look at their site now.

I love your roundup posts, Victoria, I always find plenty of inspiration. I really love your holiday cards – they are so elegant, sophisticated and beautiful! I’m also smitten with the idea of adding evergreen trimmings to a floral arrangements – how festive is that? And of course, bon courage for your French lessons – France and French language are two of my biggest loves (I used to live in Paris a few years back), and I think it’s the most beautiful language in the entire world :) Although, I’m currently learning Italian, and it comes pretty close second. Enjoy your break – you really deserve it! Happy Monday!
What a nice comment! Thank you so much, Ivana! Happiest holidays to you :)
That candle, that card and that workout gear are so good!
I don’t think I’ll ever have a clue about floral arrangements, but I love your tip!

Merry Christmas!! I’m wondering where you went for waxing and facials in NYC? Thanks!
Hi Kira — For waxing/sugaring/threading, I went to the Shobha on Madison. I actually didn’t have a regular facialist in NY, as I had a hard time finding one who used natural products! :(
Those New Years cards are beautiful! Also did you end up buying anything from Outdoor Voices? I was literally just on their site, building a shopping cart but not quite making it to check out (I do this too often). Curious as to how you like their pieces if you’ve tried them yet! Hope you’re doing well!
Hi Nisha! Ok, it took me a while, but I finally have some OV feedback for you (I couldn’t order anything for a while because they sold out in my size in all the colors I wanted!). I bought a pair of 7/8 pants and a racerback tank. I love both! The pants have a really unique feel — they’re thicker than a lot of my other workout pants and really binding in a good way. It feels like they hold you in. I’ve done a few Barry’s workouts in them (lots of moving around) with no issues. They didn’t require pulling up or adjusting at all. Major win! The racerback is made of this really unique (super soft) material. I was worried it would just absorb sweat and be wet and gross, but it’s super comfortable to wear. I’m going to be ordering more stuff from them for sure.
