Playlist 14

Tracks I loved in spring 2019.

All I can say is wow…April was one hell of a month! I have some fun/crazy life updates for you guys, which I’ll write more about very soon. But in the meantime, I’m dropping in with my latest playlist. We’re going super pop heavy in this installment, but I’m really feeling all that vibrant energy as we head into the summer months. May is tomorrow, and I’m already talking about September travel. WHAT IS HAPPENING?

Paragraph for people who are really into the nitty gritty of the music: Standout tracks for me that I’ve had on repeat are “School’s Out” by Memba, which I first heard on the Foreign Family Collective Instagram some months ago (FFC is the label company founded by Odesza, and I love keeping track of the new groups they’re signing!). Memba also released this really heartfelt behind the scenes video about how they made the music video for the track, which I adore. And, I couldn’t get enough of WENS song “Take”—her vocals in this are really something. And of course, everyone and their mom is on that Lizzo beat right now. You might enjoy this fun interview she did with the Times last week about the making of “Juice” (which isn’t on my playlist, but another from her latest album is!).

Checking in with you guys—are you in disbelief April’s over? How’d your month go? Hope your week is off to a lovely start!
