A little peek into what’s been going on around here lately. Also: what happened to February?
I mentioned several different items above that I was too lazy to link out to within the image; hoping you’ll forgive me as I’m sharing them below:
+ Champagne // This is the first Champagne that we tried from our K&L shipment. If you want to get in on the action, you can order it here! And if you’re interested in trying a wine club, K&L has a lot of great options — they ship nationally. Trust me when I say, this wine shop is wonderful. When we moved to New York, there was a wine shop near us (which became our go-to), and on our first visit, we fell into conversation with one of the employees. We were telling him how we’d just moved from San Francisco, and he goes, “Oh, well, welcome. There are no good wine shops in San Francisco. Except for K&L.” 3000 miles away and its reputation preceded it.
+ Indulgences // The perfume I bought is named “La Dame aux Camellias.” I bought it in store at Anthropologie, so check there if you wanna give it a sniff! Amazon also offers it (and interesting discussion on it here; I agree, it’s not the normal warm, flowery scent I like but it’s just really unique!). In other indulgence news, I scooped up this off-the-shoulder blouse and this white lace blouse from Club Monaco. Fingers crossed I like love ’em. I tend to buy a couple tops 3 or 4 times per year and then wear them over and over again — my wardrobe is pretty no muss, no fuss these days.
+ Launching // We just launched Kendi’s new site last week; earlier in the winter, I also completed a site for my friend Anel’s personal training business. More fun launches on the way, and I can’t wait to share mine with you.
+ Journaling // *So, something funny about that notebook I selected to begin writing in. As it happens, I picked a notebook that I had started writing in about 7 years ago, but I had no recollection of doing so. It contained exactly three “love letters” I had written to Joe, which were both hilarious and honestly, kind of embarrassing to read. It’s funny to see that snapshot of us at that time and think about how much life has happened since. I really thought I had life (and him) all figured out at the ripe old age of 24!
PS – All the images in this post were taken by me, except for the first one, which was taken by Kimberley Hasselbrink for the incredible Gerhard Ceramics. Britt Gerhard is a local ceramicist putting out beautiful work, and I’m itching to get my hands on one of her vases for myself. Check out her latest lookbook here.
Oh my goodness a champagne club sounds absolutely brilliant! Kendi’s new site looks absolutely amazing by the way – congratulations :)

My friend is big wine drinker (her family makes home made wine every year). I may just get her a gift certificate to a wine club for her wedding this year. You always come across such great stuff. Have a good weekend!
That’s a great idea! I actually had told a family member to gift us a wine club membership to K&L this year for Christmas. She gave us a gift card instead, and that’s what we put towards the Champagne club! :) I like it better than joining a winery-specific club (though that’s fun too), just because you get more variety and get introduced to producers you’d never come across otherwise.
A friend of mine introduced me to Winestyr this week too, which also might be a great fit for your friend, knowing her fam is really into small lot winemaking: https://www.winestyr.com/
