Hi, Friends! I thought I’d check in today and share a few snaps from the house we’ve been staying in up in Napa (well, technically, outside of St. Helena). The property has beautiful gardens, and we’re having a great time hanging around outside, enjoying the sunshine, and watching Lucy covet such a big yard.
We’re here for a few more days and then head back to the city, where planning the big move awaits…simultaneously exciting and not so exciting…
(We’ve done some damage. But don’t worry — we had some serious help with many of these bottles when sets of friends came over the weekend!)

So gorgeous! This just got me so excited, too. I’m headed to Napa for a work trip in a few weeks (never been) and I can’t wait!
Let me know if you need recs!
It looks beautiful out there!
Such gorgeous pictures! I’m so glad you’re having a fun and restful time. NYC is getting excited for your arrival!
I’m in San Diego and I’ve never been to Napa even if it’s so close!!
Cute pics.

Looks lovely! Enjoy your relaxing time.
I’m a recent fan of yours & I’m about to voice an unpopular opinion, but I’m bummed you are leaving the city for the (other) city. I currently live in San Diego but I’m from Santa Cruz & Ukiah, and I’ve really enjoyed reading about your Northern CA adventures. I particularly love this entry b/c my senior year in high school I dated a guy who lived in St Helena and I spent a fair amount of time driving through that neck of the woods. I wish you well on your new adventure, but I’ll miss reminiscing about home when I read your post-move entries. :o)
Ha, it’s ok Maggie, some days I feel super bummed about leaving too! This trip especially has been a little bittersweet — we have so many good memories up here and it’s sad to think it’ll be a long time before we’re back (no more jumping in the car to head up to wine country for the weekend…). Thank you for your sweet comment!
Beautiful pics…I love the one of your sweet-faced little Frenchie!
So beautiful! Napa is seriously on my list of places I want to visit one day. In fact, it’s top of the list.

Looks like you are having such a great time! I’m totally going to chime in with Maggie’s comment there and say while it’s exciting to be moving to a new city, I’ll definitely miss your NorCal adventures + postings! I’m from the east coast and actually making a move to the west coast soon. It will be interesting to see how we “switch places” and your view of the new englandy area (I’m from CT!) Enjoy your blog so much – one of the first blogs I check everyday. xoxo
Aww, thank you, Marissa!!!
These photos are gorgeous! Mike and I have dreamed of planning a Napa vacation … someday!
amazing pictures- went to sonoma about four years ago- you are making me want to go back asap.

So beautiful! Thank you for sharing these!
I have never been to Napa, but I’d love to make it a girls’ weekend away one time!
Haven’t played croquette since I was a kid. Hope you tried playing while there.
It’s one of my favorite games! I play whenever there’s a lawn and a set.
I’m in love with your photos! I’m going to Sonoma for the first time next month. I would love any recommendations on places to stay, restaurants, wine tours, etc. Did you rent your house on vrbo? Thanks so much!!
