Simple soap bottles

A couple years ago, one of my favorite indulgences/splurges were those big bottles of Resurrection soap from Aesop. The scent is sublime—a fresh, gorgeous mix of citrus and rosemary—and you really can’t beat how great their amber glass bottles look in your bathroom.

A while back, wanting a uniform soap dispenser look throughout my house (and also in need of soap refills everywhere), I thought to myself, “While I really like the scent of the soap, ultimately, what I love most about the Aesop liquid soap is the bottle. Why can’t I just find a similar bottle and refill it with whatever soap I want?”

And so I did. I bought these affordable 16 oz. amber glass bottles on Amazon, and refill it with whatever soap refille I happen to buy—be it fancy, organic, drugstore, whatever. The soap bottles are the same throughout our house now, from bathroom to powder room to kitchen, and I love how the look is uniform, chic, and not branded.

Not bad for only $7 a piece, huh?

LOVE this idea. Currently have a large soap refill on the way and J threw away the original bottle and I literally fished it out of the trash (gross) so we could put the refill in the “right” colored bottle. I should just get these!
