Digging D’Orsays

6 flats under $100; 6 more if you want to splurge!

The D’Orsay flat isn’t a new shoe silhouette, but this spring, I feel like it’s everywhere again. These babies first blew onto the scene a few years ago, when Jenni Kayne introduced her now famous D’Orsay flats. The price tag on hers were and are a bit steep, and for better or worse, the shape has been reinterpreted and replicated by tons of brands (almost two years ago, I scored a pair of black suede ones from ShoeMint that I still wear). Indeed, nowadays this silhouette is everywhere, in a plethora of colors, textures, and patterns. As a gal who loves a good pair of flats, especially an interesting pair to add that extra little sumthin’ sumthin’ to an all-neutral outfit, I’m loving the variety that’s currently out there. Above are six pairs I’ve bookmarked that are all under $100 (I like these super simple ones in brown, and the texture of these teal ones). Any favorites?

And, if you’re in the mood for a bit of a splurge, I’ve also rounded up 6 more gorgeous pairs below (these and these both = heart eyes emoji!)…

Whaddya think? Which ones would you splurge on?

I’m obsessed with the “Leele” style. They’re so elegant and would work well at the office and on weekends.

Oh man, I love them all! I actually like that the “Danielle” has the full side on the outside. What’s one more pair, right?

Love those perforated ones, but also the Holt and the striped Sole Society pair are super cute. I would love at least one for spring! I have so many ballet flats but I love the different look of these.

Such good picks! I currently don’t own a pair of d’orsay flats so need to make that purchase ASAP!

I feel like I need alllll of these for the summer. :) And then I need to buy monotone outfits so the shoes go with everything. These would make for the perfect work uniform.

Omg, thank you for this! I adore the D’orsay style–just saw a pair of grey suede ones in J.Crew that I fell in love with but it’s out of my budget currently, so this is perfect for me! =)

One of my girlfriends has a pair that are leopard and black. I love them and might have to copy her! For a splurge, I’d take the Nina 2!

I love them! I didn’t think they’d be flattering unless you have a long skinny foot, but they really do work for everyone. I’ve been eyeing the Vince pair, but maybe I’ll go with one of these instead.

I love these D’orsay flats. Target actually makes a few super cute versions at a very inexpensive price!

I love me a nice pair of d’Orsay shoes! Although every time I see that word, my first instinct is to pronounce it with a hard ‘d’ sound almost like a stutter rather than door-say!
