Window shopping on the go? I'm down!

Have you heard of the new app Spring? I discovered it last week when it was mentioned in passing in an article somewhere…and I was immediately intrigued and downloaded it right away! Spring is an app that allows you to shop on your phone, directly from your favorite brands (and likely a few new ones you’ll discover). There are well known brands already on the app (think companies like Vince, Equipment, Joie, and Alice + Olivia), but I love that Spring features lots of smaller, up and coming brands too (like Everlane, Ix and Cuyana). I’ve also enjoyed browsing around and finding new-to-me shops that I probably would’ve never known about otherwise (especially in the beauty realm!).

The app is beautifully designed, and it’s fun to look at collections of brands you might’ve heard of, but don’t know much about. Right now, it seems like a lot of the retailers on it tend to skew a little pricey, but Spring is adding new shops weekly, and I’ve noticed many jewelry, beauty, and “lifestyle” companies that are more affordable! Additionally, when items go on sale, you can see it on the app and jump on it before the deal is gone (ahem, gorgeous Yumi Kim jumpsuit). The Spring app is truly, wonderfully, window shopping at its best.

The most dangerous part? If you find something you love — say, a pretty little baguette ring or a silk infinity scarf — you can purchase the item with a single swipe of the finger. For now, I’m not uploading my shipping and credit card info, lest I do some serious damage. Though, let’s be honest, if I can one-swipe buy and stock up on my fave Everlane tees and tops, and beauty goodies from RMS, I’m going to break down eventually…

Are you already on Spring?  You can download it here. Let me know if you check it out!

I have heard of Spring. I believe Gary V is an investor in the company. People have been talking about it on my twitter timeline for some months now. Not really into shopping as much. cool app none the less.

Gahhhh — I would live in Yumi Kim EXCLUSIVELY these days! I bought a skirt and clutch there this summer and I’m so so sold. And yep, super cool app. Not available here yet though : /
