The Month Ahead // June

the month ahead - june

Wow, May flew by real fast. I feel like I just wrote last month’s Month Ahead column! Hard to believe that the year will soon be half over.

Where May was very busy, June is definitely a time for me to slow down, and based on how many vacations I’ve been hearing about with friends, I have a feeling a lot of you guys are probably in the same boat. We’re headed back to Paris later this week (what can I say? We know what we like) and are looking forward to spending some time wining, dining, and unwinding too. Joe and I both agreed that life has just been so busy lately (ugh, that word), and that we were really excited about the time to check in with each other and reconnect a little. It’s so easy to get caught up in your own day to day, you know? We rented an apartment in the city and for the first time in Paris, I’ll finally be able to indulge at the Marché Raspail and cook some goodies for us. Nothing in the world tastes better than French strawberries, trust.

Later in the month, I’ll be working on some personal projects for myself that I’m really looking forward to sharing with you all. It’s exciting times around here, and with any luck, a trip to one of my favorite cities will get me reinvigorated and re-inspired for the work ahead!

What all do you have going on this month? Any fun vacations planned? What are you excited about as we head into the heart of summer?

PS – Can you believe the difference between this month’s park photo, last month’s, and April’s? So much change in so little time!

Paris sounds great, it’s one of my favorite city (alongside Berlin, NYC & Buenos Aires). As I am currently living in Hong Kong and summers tend to be extremely hot and humid I am going on a two weeks vacation to Seattle and I am really looking forward to a fresh breeze and some western food again.

I can not believe that it is already June! But I could not be happier, hello June! I am looking forward to enjoying the summer in Boston, but also escaping the city and spending weekends on the coast of Maine.

I never knew there was a “national splurge day,” how fun! So exciting to hear that you are heading to France, cant wait to follow along on instagram!

Paris is also my favorite city! I’m headed to LA (from Chicago) on Thursday for 5 days with friends and some wine tasting up in Paso Robles. My first mini-vacation of the summer!

Ohhh you’ll love Paso! Very fun and totally different from Napa/Sonoma, if you’ve toured those areas before!

Paris sounds AMAZING! My Dad always told me that the older you get, the faster time seems to go. I couldn’t agree more. I’m looking forward to an outdoor fashion show, my birthday and a lake bachelorette weekend this summer!

Paris sounds lovely! We are spending the 4th of July week in Santa Barbara. It’s just a little over a few hours from here, but far enough to unplug and soak up the sun. Looking forward to it :)

So excited to see pics from your vacation.

What I’m most excited for this month: the end of my third year of medical school! Woo hoo! We plan on taking a trip to Paris & the French countryside next spring as a “yay! We made it through medical school!” treat to ourselves. :)
