Week/End

weekend flowers

LET’S BE FRANK: I’m totally intrigued by this all-over body scrub Grace wrote about. I’m just going to say it: I want to rub Frank all over me!

THE EYES HAVE IT: Loved this roundup of 35 (thirty five!!) eye products recommended by beauty bloggers.

REQUIRED WORK READING: These two pieces on fashion blogging (and the boyfriends taking their pictures — hey, ring any bells?) were published this week. Thoughts?

MOST BIZARRE YET USEFUL SITE EVER: AirPnP. I kid you not. A site completely dedicated on helping people find a place to go when they’re out and about. Weird, yet if the site gained a lot of momentum, I could see it be the most useful thing ever when you’re traveling. The things people come up with these days!

YUM: Almond Oat Banana Nutella Crepes. Do I really need to elaborate?

HAPPY HOUR!: Hard to believe, but The B Bar is already a year old! We’re celebrating with a little discount for y’all. Get the details here (and PS, we’re also hosting a Twitter chat next month!).

KICK ASS, TAKE NAMES: Here are 7 tips to help you with your networking skillz.

BEHOLD, THE BIRKENSTOCK: What are your thoughts on their resurgence? This post makes them look pretty chic, I’ll admit.

BECAUSE I’M HAPPY: This post and all the pink balloons therein just made me happy. It’s the perfect thing for a Friday, I tell ya.

The stars must have finally aligned. The doldrums from last week have given way, and this week, I found I was full of ideas and creative energy. So much so that I almost had too many ideas and thoughts running through my brain! This can definitely be filed under “good problems to have”. In regards to last week’s ramblings about wondering where I might want to take my business, I’ve reached a decision and can’t wait to share the results with you soon-ish (as you can probably guess, change is afoot, but all good things, I promise).

New York has been putting on a crazy gorgeous show of blooming trees and other brightly colored flora. Random profound thought I had: it’s interesting to observe the soft white and pink colors that emerge in spring, versus the fiery oranges, reds, and browns that you get to see in the fall here. Soft and innocent in birth; flaming and bold in death. I dunno, just random thoughts that ran through my head during Central Park walks this week. Clearly I did not grow up in a place with seasons.

I have zero plans this weekend save for a date with the gym tomorrow. Oh, and I told Joe I want to go to Home Depot at some point. Life in New York: all glamour, srsly.

Bon weekend, sweet friends!

I think I may love the idea of AirPnP even more than AirBnB (which I love a lot)! Finding bathrooms while traveling – esp in foreign cities – can be so hard.

Have a wonderful, obligation-free weekend! xoxo

I will most likely be ordering that body scrub today. I love their witty Instagram account too. I concur… I need me some Frank too.

Birkenstocks are certainly not the most attractive shoes, but they stand out as being some of the most comfortable that I’ve ever owned!

I picked up Frank based solely on Grace’s post that raved about it! Finally getting a chance to try it this weekend :)
