SLEEP WELL: Sadly, I haven’t been lately. I think it’s time for a new mattress, but Kathy’s tips on getting better shut eye seem like good ideas to try as well!
SOUP FOR YOU: How wonderful does Clara’s Chorizo and Pickled Jalapeño Tortilla Soup sound (and look)?
SMILE!: No, really. You don’t want to look like any of these folks.
SAY GOODBYE: The iconic New York restaurant Pastis is closing its doors (maybe for a little while, maybe longer). I loved this piece on the history, the craziness, and yes, the celebrity sightings.
SALE TIME: Right now Banana Republic is running 40% off your ENTIRE purchase until 3/2 with code BRTUNEIN. Tune into what? They sent me the cutest Oscar’s gift box to let me (and you guys) know they’re hosting a red carpet live stream this Sunday from the Academy Awards, right over here. PS, they have some seriously cute dresses right now!
SIT DOWN, LOOK PRETTY: Speaking of which, ever wonder how one becomes a seat filler at a major awards show? This piece gives you the inside scoop.
SERIOUSLY, OLD NAVY?: Is it just me, or have they been killing it lately? I am kind of digging this little bucket bag!
SANE, AND ORGANIZED: A little post I wrote for The Well on how I’ve been using Todoist, and how I really, really can’t live without it. If you’re a list maker like me, it could be a godsend.
Is it sad that I’m kind of stoked that I got each of these items to start with an S? (#nerdalert) It’s been another crazy week around la casa de vmac, and I’m looking forward to a weekend with very few plans as we welcome March into the fold. Can you believe February’s gone? I sure as hell can’t! Wishing you the happiest of weekends, friends!

Thanks for the link love girl! xoxo
Really enjoyed the article on Pastis. Thanks for linking up to that Victoria! I visited only once– way back on what was obviously a quiet morning, but had one of the most memorable, lingering breakfasts with my husband. So true about the white subway tile with black grout, juice glasses for wine and bistro towels as napkins– my first introduction to each of those things was at Pastis. So it was with baked beans with my eggs for breakfast… sad to see it go before we had a chance to go back.
Thank you!!
Also. I can’t believe I’ve never used Todoist before. This could be the answer to all my organization problems. Thanks for sharing!
I just got the Old Navy bucket bag! In navy. It’s soooo good. Only problem so far is that the strap is super long. It’s suppose to go cross-body, but I don’t usually carry my bags that way. I’m short so it is a problem. I will be adding some additional holes to shorten it up. Other than that…buy it! It’s perfect.
Great tip, Liz!!
Yahooo! Thanks for the link love. And whaaat? Pastis is my fave. That makes me so sad. Have a great weekend, lady! xoxo
I have really been digging Old Navy lately, too. My favorites are the pointed flats. I bought navy, black AND red last weekend. In LOVE.
Love that article on seat-fillers! Definitely appreciate having a behind-the-scenes look at the Academy Awards audience.
Oooh good to know about Banana! On it now! And I think I’m going to pursue a second career… in seat filling.
Oh my gosh – was catching up on some much needed blog stalking and was so surprised and excited to see my photo in this post! Thanks for taking a liking to it…so flattered!
love you

Okay, I love to see someone else realizing that Old Navy has been having some awesome stuff. They have definitely evolved from the Old Navy 4th of July t-shirts that were their staple. Your blog has some great stuff!
Thanks, Stefanee! I’m doing a whole post about ON tomorrow…stay tuned! ;)
