+ bought a Christmas tree. And scheduled it for delivery. I know I mentioned us chopping down our own, but when we started costing it out, locating farms, and realized there would only be two of us to chop down, drag, and load a 7-footer, it just seemed easier to have one delivered (i.e., we wanted to still be married come Christmas, not divorced due to tree hauling stress). + went a little nuts at J.Crew Factory. I popped over to the site looking for gift ideas, only to discover that right now, EVERYTHING is 40% off, with additional discounts available if you purchase 2 or more items. I walked away with these festive pants, this blazer, and this pretty bracelet. And I really thought about getting this coat (I mean, hello, THAT PRICE), but restrained myself.
+ updated the Gift Guide again. How is your holiday shopping going? Are you planning on shopping Black Friday or Cyber Monday?
+ spent a minute (or thirty) browsing through Alex’s recent “Interior Envy” posts. I want to live in every single one of these houses. She finds great homes to feature!
+ loved looking through the reviews on Crystalin’s new fashion review site. Such an easy way to share pros and cons of items you’ll see in store!
+ thought this ‘feathered’ candlestick DIY was quite creative! Great idea for a last minute Thanksgiving centerpiece, no?
Speaking of Thanksgiving…wow, less than a week away. We bit the bullet and ordered a Turducken this year. What we’re going to do with 20 lbs of meat I have no idea, but Joe assures me this will not be a problem (um…). I’ll be back early next week, then like most of us, will take part of the week off for Thanksgiving…but of course will share some of my favorite holiday weekend sales with you too. Let the Black Friday madness begin (I will stay firmly ensconced in my apartment, with my delivered Christmas tree, and a book, thank you very much).

FYI, I ordered my stuff on Wed and it literally just arrived. Super fast! And everything is great quality. The “Winnie” pants are exactly like the “Minnie” pants on J.Crew (just a fraction of the cost). I’m officially converted.
I ordered our tree as well – it seems a bit like cheating but I think it really just makes sense. I can’t wait for it to arrive on the 7th!
