Pants: J.Crew (old)| Sweater: Banana Republic | Necklace: Bauble Bar | Heels: Nine West | Watch: Baume & Mercier
The craziest thing in my wardrobe isn’t anything scandalous, overly sexy, or made with a daring material. No, the craziest thing in my wardrobe are what I’ve dubbed my ‘crazy pants.’ I found these cafe capris on sale at J.Crew last year, and fell in love with the interesting, geometric pattern set in magenta on a navy blue backdrop. Basically all of J.Crew’s pants are gigantic on me, so I had these taken in, but instead of tailoring them to look super skinny, I left them with more of a loose, dressier, trouser-y look that demands heels. I don’t bust them out too frequently, but when I do, I usually pair them with an equally bright top (if you’re going for it, then go for it, you know?), neutral heels, and simple, bold accessories.
I’ve never been a huge fan of arm parties (who can deal with all that stuff clanging around on your wrist all day?), so I typically opt for one bracelet or watch. Lately I’ve been stealing one of Joe’s watches (the lone one he’ll let me borrow). It’s certainly statement making and masculine, but I am obsessed with the face, and love how classic it looks — plus I love wearing something of his. Get more photos after the jump!
Looking at these pictures I’m almost surprised I gravitated towards these pants — they’re so different from what I normally wear, but on days when I’m feeling like I need to make a statement, they’re just the ticket! What’s the “craziest” thing in your wardrobe?

I’ve been reading your blog for awhile now (and I love it) but I never seem to make to the comments. But you always look adorable + I love this look. xo
i love the pants with the pop of yellow!
the craziest thing i probably own is a bright yellow cardigan with big yellow bees crocheted around the collar…it totally reminds me of a grandma but i love it anyway.
I love the color combination! Every once in awhile, we all need to put on a show stopping outfit. :)
Love this, these pants are awesome. I have the craziest leopard pants I am wearing them on my blog now and I love them.
crazy fun pants! love the print :) xo jillian – cornflake dreams
I like your outfit and perhaps I would love it if you paired it with different shoes..Just saying.. :-)
Love these! So cute!
I love these ‘crazy pants’, especially paired with a bright yellow top. Also am such a fan of stealing your man’s watch – I often gravitate towards larger watches as well and mens wear does me good every time! Great mix!
Those pants are SO much fun!
Cute! Love how you styled the pants!

I have nothing “crazy” in my closet. All grey, black and creme. Love these pants!
love the color combo!
Great pants! I think J.Crew factory has a pencil skirt in the same print now. I’ve definitely had my eye on it! XO
Ahhh stopppp I love this! Ha ha:) The color combo is so so fun and I’m obsessed with that print…They’re not crazy, they’re awesome!

You are brave with the colors.
Not sure I could carry it off.
Love your hair.
I’m OBSESSED with a good statement pant. You look great, Victoria!
Victoria, this outfit is The Bomb! Love it. It’s so classic (Lauren Bacall comes to mind, especially with the watch) but modern with feminine flair.
I agree with your reader above that the only thing that would improve it would be a cute bootie or a navy shoe, but otherwise, it’s awesome.
The pairing of bright on bright is perfect. Go, you!
I’ve been in the market for a great pair of patterned pants, have been eyeing some of LOFT’s new ones — love the pop of purple on these though!
Um, you look SO cute!! I love that you paired them with another bright color… I probably would have worn those with a neutral… but the yellow is unexpected + fun.
Love, love the way you paired these pants, they can be tricky to style, but you did it in an amazing way. Pop of color and the right amount of details. Great job! :)
love this color combo of yellow & purple! you look great :)

Hope you’re having a great week thus far. x Hallie
Oh gosh…this is going to sound like a broken record after all these comments, but you look fab V. These pants are fun but classic…a perfect blend!

OK, this purple/yellow combo is AMAZING. I don’t know why I haven’t tried this before!!! Definitely one of my favorite looks of yours so far :)
Love those pants and that color combination!
It’s a great head-to-toe look. Love the color. Your hair is amazing. I love how you pointed out that it’s Joe’s watch – it drives home the idea that a gal can integrate menswear into her look beyond the usual blazer-slacks motif!
