This week I…

+ had the opportunity to speak on a panel of women along with Kate White on a Sirius XM radio show about entrepreneurship, career success, and breaking into the industry of your choice. It was a fab experience and I’ll share the link for the show once it broadcasts next week!

+ spent way too long looking at the “Hero Image Archive” on Fonts.com. Rashi introduced me to this when we had brunch together on Tuesday — basically, each month, the site asks a designer to create a typographic image using only one font family. The results are pretty creative and so spectacular. If you love fonts and design, don’t miss this.

+ (speaking of fonts) recommend you check out Gloria’s recent font round-up. Each of these ten fonts is free!

+ am swooning over Nordstrom’s adorable French Fling pop-up shop. Francophiles, unite! I mean, there’s a Saint James tee…with a Frenchie on it.

+ desperately still need to make my way to the local bodega for two things: a book of stamps, and the new Domino. Did you hear? It’s back!

+ totally bookmarked these two beautiful recipes: Soba and Carrot Noodles with Watermelon Radish, and Popovers with Strawberry Butter. Yum and yum.

+ was so happy for my blog friend Alex (formerly Lady Things That Sparkle). She launched a new blog design and it’s fabulous — and oh so perfect for her!

What is everyone up to this lovely autumn weekend? My family is in town from Texas, and my grandmother arrives in New York tomorrow too…everyone will be in town through early next week, so we’re packing in lots of family time. It’s almost pathetic to read when I write this out, but I actually have not seen them since my wedding last November. I guess it’s sort of been a busy year…

Last night, we had a great family dinner at Vitae (their dining room is like Jonathan Adler meets Kelly Wearstler — seriously beautiful), and later this weekend we’ll be making stops at museums and some other fave NYC restaurants. It’s fun to play tourist!

PS – last week, a bunch of you asked where I’m taking my French class. I’m taking it at the Fluent City Manhattan location, but if you are in the area, they also have a location in Williamsburg that’s about two blocks from the L line…check it out if you’re interested!

Happy weekend, friends!
