Weekend Favorites

fall garden

It’s been a while since I shared any weekend snapshots, so I thought I’d recap a little bit about what we were up to the last few days! On Saturday, we spent time getting our garden all ready for fall…

garden 1

We planted new mums, Erica heather, ornamental peppers, and cabbages, all of which will last into winter since they can withstand the cold temps! Favorite: the periwinkle mums that are now in this pot. They’re just so cheerful.

gold herringbone candle

Scored this gorgeous gold herringbone candle on sale at Pottery Barn. I think the design is pretty without being too cheesily autumn. They still have these online at a great price!

laundry jacket

I think the theme of the weekend was deal finding. The candle was good, but this was my favorite score! While out and about and early for a meet up with Joe, I popped into Loehmann’s on a whim. I normally have a low tolerance for discount stores like this (just because everything is so jumbled and messy and it stresses me out!), but literally on my way out of the store, I spotted this adorable blazer. With all the special discounts the store was running, it was almost 80% off! I found it on mega sale online too, right over here.

curtains

Favorite thing I’m glad we finally got out of the way: We got our act together and purchased panels for the two big windows in our main living room and got them hung this weekend. Of course, I measured incorrectly and purchased the wrong size, so Sunday was spent making some returns and getting them re-hung…but we’re happy with how they turned out!

gray pumpkin

I spotted this grey pumpkin and had to have it. White ones are all the rage right now (I actually haven’t found any in NYC!), but I kinda like these blue-grey ones even more. Something different, ya know? His friend is an adorable white and yellow striped guy…they’re making our outdoor patio table a lot more cheerful!

What did you do this weekend? Anything fun?

Your photos look so cozy and relaxing! Out of curiosity, do you mind if I ask where you got the brass lamp in the living room photo?

The house snippets look great and what a deal-finding weekend. I hate discount stores for all the same reasons, but some of my random forays in have provided me with some of my favorite things!

I’m totally in my happy place right now decorating for Halloween! I bought an entire hoard of white pumpkins this weekend and I’m in love. They just look so chic paired against black accents.

I visited a pumpkin patch this weekend and was lovinggg the green ones, also saw some lovely light pink ones (who knew?!) — and the ornamental peppers are such a fun addition, had no idea they’d last into the colder months!
