This week I…
+ was honored to be featured over on the ONA blog! They make a great line of bags for toting your camera around in. I took one on a (very casual Friday) outing to Central Park recently with my new friend Yvonne. Stop by and check it out!
+ along with Meg, launched The Well. We’ll be posting plenty of blog and business related topics, resources, and ideas over there, so be sure to stop by and join in the conversation. In other news, it’s kind of fun to start a blog from scratch again!
+ loved reading all of your comments on this post. It’s so nice to know I’m not alone in feeling how I do — and I’m hoping the post inspired some of you to go out and spend more time on the things you love!
+ couldn’t believe the price reduction on this dress. I was so tempted to get it for a wedding later this month, but despite the great price, didn’t pull the trigger. I’ve been trying not to spend on clothes, and instead, focus on our apartment needs. And on that note, I needed these coasters. They’ll look fab with the thrift store mirror I gold leafed (I’ll hopefully show you the results of that next week!).
+ got rid of the last three boxes that were still sitting around from our move. We’re officially unpacked. I can’t even tell you how awesome that felt!
+ peaches are becoming a little harder to find here in New York as we fade to fall, but if I can scrounge any up at my local market, I’m definitely making this Rustic Peach Galette!
+ enjoyed reading this interview with one of my favorite jewelry designers. Alexis Bittar’s stuff is always so gorgeous!
Any fun weekend plans? I have a feeling the next few days will be a whirlwind. So many blog friends are in town because of Fashion Week, so today, tomorrow and Sunday are filled with social get togethers. I must say, I really prefer the smaller hangouts over larger parties, so I’m looking forward to catching up with a few of my favorite ladies from around the country. We also have good college friends in town tonight, and we’ve planned a fun double date that will take us all around town. The weather is cool and beautiful, and I can’t wait to sit outside and enjoy (the lack of humidity).
Happy first weekend of September, sweet readers!! Feeling so thankful for the community here. I hope you all have a wonderful weekend, filled with things YOU love and make you happy!
