poodle loafers

This week I…

+ finished reading this book. I’m a little perplexed by the mixed reviews on Amazon — I thought it was great! A perfect summer read if you’re looking for one this month. Also, it made me want to take a horseback riding trip (which, consequently, I’ve done several times in life…fun fact!).

+ definitely bookmarked Meg’s post on powering through magazines. Duly noted, since I have a big stack in my office to get through!

+ had a great time at happy hour with new buddy Katherine (hi!) at the Gramcery Park Hotel. It’s absolutely GORGEOUS inside (and the cocktails…hello, lethal).

+ am kinda digging these tribal inspired canvas bins from Container Store. Really unique, and a great price!

+ probably got another 10-15 boxes of stuff delivered this week for the house. I’m now on a first name basis with the UPS guy (his name is Austin, FYI).

+ need to find an excuse to throw a party so I can make this punch…yum!

+ also want to make this recipe, which combines three of my very favorite things: shrimp, bacon and jalapeño!

It’s been a bit of a nutty week, in case you couldn’t tell by how late posts went up some days (ahem…like today). But I’m hanging in there (ahem…TGIF). One of our closest friends is spending the weekend with us, so tonight, we’re taking him out to show him a little bit of New York — or at least, what we know of it so far! The weather has been a humid and rainy the last few days, but I’m hoping it clears over the weekend so we can attempt a picnic in the park with Miss Lucy. We’re so predictable.

What are you up to this weekend? Anything fun?

I also loved Meg’s GSD this week! I keep so many of my magazines because I have a lot of shelf space to fill in my bedroom.

The Container Store is a real danger zone for me. New hangers? Need. Bigger tupperware for cereal? Need. New desk supplies? Definite need. But seriously, those bins are great. They remind me of West Elm’s Embroidered Dot Silk pillows? Anyways, have a great weekend! xo

LOVED, loved, loved The Yonahlossee Riding Camp for Girls – flew through it on vacay! And I totally bookmarked Meg’s post on magazines too, lord knows I’ve got a stack to get through. Happy weekend!
