Major trend I’m loving right now: all the gorgeous, colorful, even floral one-piece swimsuits that are everywhere for summer. I haven’t owned a one-piece in a long time (although actually, I didn’t own a bikini until I was in my early teens — I had this bizarre aversion to showing my midriff when I was little), I guess primarily because so many of the options previously available had been kind of boring. Dowdy…dare I say, even mom-ish. On the other end of the spectrum, there were one-pieces that were a little too risqué for my tastes. I mean, my name is Victoria, but I do not fashion myself a Victoria’s Secret model.
This year, there are so many pretty options that are modern, still sexy, and will make a big statement beach or poolside. Between these nine, I can’t even pick which one I like the best — although, I’m pretty partial to number 7. Something about that retro floral print is screaming my name! But hmm…you can’t go wrong with classic dots either.
What do you think of the resurgence of one-pieces? Do you have a favorite pattern, cut or print?

1. 6 Shore Road Marina One Piece, $138 | 2. Lenny Niemeyer Mimosa Maillot, $223
3. Zimmerman Wanderlust Swimsuit, $310 | 4. ISSA Halter One-Piece, $300
5. J.Crew Mini Pineapple Tank, $110 | 6. Juicy Couture Itsy Bitsy Polka Dot One Piece, $160

I particularly like the ones that have some sort of visual break around the waistline to create curves — like that Zimmerman one — great picks!
That number 3 just stole my heart
Just bought #5 and LOVE it. #7 is drop dead gorgeous, though, as is #3. Great picks!
I have my eye on #8 as well – thinking I’ll have to take the plunge on it soon!
I’m all about the one-pieces now – I don’t know if it’s my not-so-bikini-ready abs or a recent-set modesty, but I can’t look at any of my bikinis without groaning!
I didn’t have a two piece until 7th grade…. i always just had my swim-team one piece! with the horrible cut on the thighs where it goes up all the way? yikes. the new one pieces are amazing!
I’m loving the one piece trend. I just bought one very similar to #7 from Target, can’t wait to wear it!

I love number 3! I think one pieces can’t be beat when they have either a corset waist or a deep plunge – so flattering!
Love that anthro suit in the bottom right! And I think the trend is really good, too!
that nanette lepore! swoon!!
i totally agree! i always thought one-pieces were for middle aged women, until this year when so many cute ones (and sexy!) are showing up. i’ve seen that anthro one (#7) all over pinterest but love #2 & #3 as well!

As one who is quite endowed in the chest region, one-pieces have always been my go-to. Suit #3 is so sophisticated, but in the end (just like an LBD), nothing is sexier than a classic, black strapless suit.
The Walkup
I love number 5 and 7! One-piece swimsuits have gotten so much more stylish over the years.
I also had the same aversion to showing my midriff! It took me some time to get over it. I’m glad to see that I was not the only one.
Totally with you on this one. I didn’t start wearing a bikini until my mid-teens, but the one pieces back in the day didn’t look like anything out there now! I am loving all these pretty, colorful pieces!
I’ve always been a fan of one-pieces! They are timeless and still classy – well despite the ones missing almost the entire one piece. Love the fun colors!
These are such gorgeous one pieces .

Such a great round-up! I love a good one-piece… #2, 3 & 7 are my all time faves.
These are great finds! I love one-pieces so much – I think they are classy and hot at the same time. However, my best friend and fiance disagree – I have been banned from packing one for my upcoming bachelorette weekend (sigh). I love Mara Hoffman’s suits so much.
YES! obsessed with all of these.
