Happy Tuesday! I can’t believe it’s already May 8th. Believe it or not, in just nine short days, we’ll be on a one way flight to NYC. Cray cray! It snuck up quickly, didn’t it?
The only things that seem to keep me from going too insane (what with all the change) is to either a) read something or b) mindlessly surf the Internet and see what I come across (I won’t lie, it’s been difficult to work when we’re also coordinating movers, selling furniture, finding new pieces, and oh yeah — waiting to see if we actually have an apartment). So I figured I’d at least share some of my finds with you. Everybody wins!
I had pinned a photo of these pretty violets frozen into ice cubes a couple weeks ago, and finally had a sec to click through and investigate more. It couldn’t be easier; honestly, the toughest part of this DIY is sourcing the violets, which, if you live near a good market that stocks that kind of thing, isn’t even THAT hard. I adore this idea for summer entertaining. So festive and fun!
I’ve slowly been making way through the May issue of Vanity Fair, and absolutely loved this true crime article. It’s a little gruesome — well, no more so than your average CSI episode — but the outcome of this mystery was crazy to me (and it’s even crazier that this detective was able to figure it out). PS, that beaded magnifying glass is so cool, no?
Finally, who wouldn’t be lusting after bright finds like these? A hot magenta bow ring (that’s less than $40!); fantastic metallic storage tins; and kelly green and gold sandals for summer. I’ll take one of each, please and thank you.
