It’s completely cliche to say this, but the first time I talked to Delbarr Moradi, something just clicked. For one thing, I love that our first conversation was over Skype, so we could actually see each other, and two, I loved how easy going and cool she was. Not to mention talented. Delbarr worked with Jose Villa for a while, but has still managed to develop her own unique style that blends editorial and photojournalism together effortlessly.
The search for a wedding photographer was one of the hardest for me, to be honest with you. It took lots and lots of portfolio stalking to find someone who had a style we were going for (and also didn’t hear the word ‘wedding’ and immediately quadruple their rates). Having blogged for years and seen all kinds of lifestyle photography styles, I had a pretty clear vision of what I wanted and what I didn’t. (Joe, in case you’re wondering, left the photog decision mostly to me.) I think I finally was lucky enough to find Delbarr via a feature on a wedding blog, and when I did, it was kismet. Everything just fell right into place. I pretty much knew within 30 seconds of looking at her website that we would hire her, and about 10 seconds into our conversation it was confirmed. I’m so glad we did! I can’t wait to see what she comes up with for our wedding day.

Two years after my own wedding, I still look at the photos at least one a week! Choosing a great photographer is definitely worth the time and effort it takes to find the best to document your special day!

Getting the right person to capture your wedding is so much more then just beautiful photos! My husband and I have been shooting weddings for years, you are so close and personal with couple the whole day, being comfortable with your photographer is so important. Congratulations, enjoy your big day!
