It occurred to me this weekend that I might want to start ordering a few last minute items and pieces for the wedding next month. A few Polaroid cameras to make the festivities especially interactive? Check. A dress for the rehearsal dinner…hmm. I had considered wearing something I already owned, but on an evening when all eyes are on you, it seemed like a good excuse to find something new and that would photograph well!

On Sunday I spent a while on Shopbop checking out a variety of options. Should I take the opportunity to do something striking, and colorful? Or pick something more demure and sophisticated that’d be wearable for years to come? Our rehearsal dinner is going to be a dinner party for about 50 friends and family members on the patio of one of our favorite restaurants, and since the dress code is fairly casual, I didn’t want to look too overdone. So, I actually did end up buying one of the dresses here…but I am wondering if you’d be able to guess which one!

(PS – Speaking of Shopbop, they’re having a pretty decent sale right now! The silver chrome version of my gold iPhone case is currently 30% off!)

Great picks! I love that navy blue lace portia dress & the colour block french exchange dress. Gorgeous!

I just did a post today on my RDD, it was sooo hard for me to find for some reason. I love all of these choices though. And cannot believe your wedding is only a month away!!!

I am such a more ‘classic colors & shapes’ kind of girl. My guy friend just told me that I need to be more daring lol so I bought a pair of drop-crotch pants!

Yes! Go primary colors, so pretty in photographs! Or those classic dresses are beauties, too!

The Attica and Lola are my favorites!! I’ve had my eye on that Tibi number for awhile…I think I need to just pull the trigger!! All of your picks are perfect though, can’t wait to see which one you choose!

Go with what makes you feel like the center of attention. I think you can get away with a really fun dress, whether its bright or elegant. I ended up getting a silver dress that has come in handy for events like chaperoning prom :) Not quite what I had in mind when I bought it!

I would maybe pick a dress that normally you wouldn’t spring for, but that you still feel comfortable in. More special then practical. You only have a few pre-wedding events left for this excuse!

I’m thinking I might use Rent the Runway for my rehearsal dinner dress. I haven’t gotten that far in my planning yet, but I don’t know if I’d want to wear the dress again anyway. We haven’t booked our dinner yet, but we are working on it now.

These are ALL so cute! I love the Primary ones but for Fall I love the Classic ones so I think I would pick the long sleeve with neck tie in that great wine color

I have a reeaaallly similar dress to the Joie lace dress. Mine is from Zara from a few seasons ago. I wore it to TH’s Christmas party last year but you just inspired me to wear again to the wedding we’re going to this weekend. You just saved me some money. I was going to go out and buy a new dress.
