This week I…

+ had such a great time with Jeanne at the Le Labo shop. It’s a perfume store I’d been meaning to go into forever, as the sparse, industrial style interior was so perfectly done that you can’t help but be drawn in. We weren’t disappointed. I took home a bottle of Bergamote 22 (here’s a photo of it being freshly mixed up!). Sure to be my new fave!

+ wore this sweater/jacket at least 3 times. It’s the perfect piece. You throw it on with jeans and a tee and you look instantly dressier. I’m in love with it.

+ completely fell off the wagon. I had pizza (twice!), a Mexican blowout, a burger last night. And I didn’t go to the gym once. This is what happens when I go out of town and we don’t go to the grocery store.

+ wrapped up a couple different client projects, including a simple new logo for Miss Irene. There are a few others that I hope to be able to share with you very soon!

+ am planning on having what Joe and I have dubbed a ‘hermit weekend’ this weekend. After several weekends of being on the road, and a little getaway to Palm Springs next weekend, I’m more than happy to stay put tomorrow. Sleeping in, farmers market, cooking good food, watching movies….ahhh, perfection!

LINK OF THE WEEK: This week, I thought about writing a post to tell you a little more about what it was like at NYFW. You know, debunk the myths of the glitz and the glamour and all that. I don’t need to though, because Lexi did it perfectly! I also had to laugh at Vanity Fair‘s street style roundup, which had a little dig at all the bloggers who dress a bit, um, outrageously in the hopes of getting photographed. I think they changed the intro text to this post. Instead of ‘retro- cool Cosby sweaters and neons’ it used to read ‘dressed like clowns.’ Which, to be honest, at NYFW…was kind of accurate (though to be fair, a few of the outfits they’ve included here could definitely still fall in that category). Enjoy it!

Happy weekend, everyone!

I am having a hermit weekend too. I need one before the chaos of next week begins!! And I also fell off the wagon. Pizza last night and fries twice the day before. Uh oh.

NYC screwed my diet, and I can’t just start being healthy in the middle of the week…I’ll start on Monday. Your weekend sounds like heaven, so wish I didn’t have so many plans! xo

I am completely and insanely jealous about the sweater jacket. Want, want, want. I’m glad to hear it’s perfect. You may have persuaded me to take the plunge.

Also, trips to different places were absolutely made for eating yum food that’s not normally on one’s everyday diet. :)

JFYI, I found it runs a bit big, just in case you are
ordering it from online…consider going down a size!

I so wish we lived in the same city so that we could be bff’s (I’d bake you cookies on the regular so that you’d have no choice but to hang!) Thank you SO much for including my little NYFW recap/truth. My feet still hurt …

Beautiful picture up top. I’ve always wanted to go to a great perfume store to really find a good custom scent. It’s amazing how different the true fragrances smell compared to larger produced perfumes.
