Worshiping at the temple of Saab

I’ve written about it before, but I think Elie Saab makes the prettiest, show stopping dresses for women today, hands down. There are plenty of designers that come close, but to me, Elie Saab is a master at creating silhouettes that are soft and feminine, but still modern, and mixing them with fresh, lush color palettes, and mind boggling detail. I finally got around to looking at the Fall/Winter haute couture collection, and wow. Just wow. All of these gowns would be fit for a princess. They’re show-stopping, truly. Look at the beading, the attention to detail. They’re the definition of regal — dresses fit for royalty. If I were going to the Oscars, you can bet your Governor’s Ball ticket that I would be in Saab.

This is just a small sampling of the 46 gowns that were featured in this show (and I had a really hard time editing it down!). If you have some time, I highly recommend you watch the show. It’s dress making at its finest. Truly inspiring!

It could’ve. Rumor has it that a Saab doesn’t come cheap.

      The car or the dress.

I also bow down at the Temple of Saab. My “glam” board on Pinterest is 80% comprised of Saab gowns.

Gorgeous! If I ever were a celebrity who needed an Oscar or Tony dress, I think one of these would have to be it.

(somehow don’t think I should be holding my breath….)

Right? I don’t understand how there are any other options for celebs!

Did you know you can buy tickets to award shows and be a seat filler? Years ago,
I took all my residents (yes, I was an RA for ONE YEAR, OKAY?) to sit in the
bleachers at the Emmy’s. Trust me when I say that 50% of the people going to
these things are not really celebs!

I totally agree! Elie Saab is one of my favourite designers, and every time I post about him on my blog, it’s always a long rave about how much I love him and his collections! These dresses are just gorgeous! x

Agree! Elie Saab has been a favorite of mine for several years now. If I could get married all over again, I’d definitely splurge on one of her gorgeous gowns. Thanks for the pretty post!
