Just call it Fun Interview Day! Today, Style to Inspire is BACK with a very special guest. I’m beyond honored to feature the lovely Lulu deKwiatkowski, artist and founder of the smash success textile company Lulu DK. Lulu’s beautiful designs have graced wallpapers and fabrics alike (have you seen her children’s line for Schumacher? Freaking gorgeous!), and who could forget her gorgeous home in the October 2010 issue of Lonny? Right now, Lulu is collaborating with Open Sky, where each week you can shop her favorite home picks, many of which are inspired by her love of nature and the beach, which she cites as two of her biggest influences.
I was thrilled to be able to interview Lulu to learn more about her background, how her artwork gets translated into a fabric, and a little bit about what it’s like to work in the interiors industry. Read on to see her answers and to check out a few of the items she’s selected for her Open Sky shop!
