Les Journaux Française: Part I

Oh hey there. Fancy meeting you here! C’est moi, Victoria, and I’m back, bitches. Actually, I’ve been back since Saturday, but I anticipated having severe jet lag and even severer longing for France (I was right on both accounts), hence me scheduling extra guest post content for you this week until I could get it together and start telling you about the trip.

But in the interest of keeping things interesting (because frankly, I have lots of fun post ideas!), I’m going to share bits of the trip piecemeal, savoring them as much as possible. I want to relive it, it was just that good! So keep an eye out for the continuation of Les Journaux Française over the next week.

Before we dive right in, a little piece of business that’s not really business at all. Today I’m honored to be featured on The Everygirl! And this time I do something that’s a little out of my comfort zone: I’m in front of the camera, and sharing more about my career path and how I ended up launching Vivaleur. Stop by and check it out!

Now, on to the goodness. Let’s start at the beginning. We left on the first of June, and after a long ten hour flight directly to Paris, arrived in the Îe-de-France in the mid-afternoon. Here’s a photo account of what happened next…

Tune in next time for our Provençal arrival. There’s a lot of gelato involved!

This was perfect, and now I wish I were in Paris (ok, I already did because I’m reading The Paris Wife, but now I REALLY wish I were in Paris).

I can’t believe that Abercrombie pumps out their cologne in Paris! That makes me hate it more. No class! Looks like a fantastic 48 hours!

I loved your guest posts, but I missed you! Your trip looks like it was glorious and I am glad you had a great time. I enjoyed your feature on The Everygirl, too! Your advice had my name on it. So helpful! And I agree- Big is the man. :)

HAHA, yes, we did! That photo was (shh!) actually taken during the
second stay in Paris, when we came back from the south. We only got
to stay there a night but I wish it had been longer!

  24. 6.22.12

Just lovely. When I walked up to the Eiffel Tower for the first time, I let out an audible gasp. Unreal to see it in person. It was simply beautiful.

Really enjoyed reading your Everygirl feature.

My fiancé and I have one of those locks–on the Pont des Arts. We were wondering, where are the entrepreneurial lock sellers!? We had to get ours at the Monoprix and come back the next day. I’m glad to see there are some new ventures. And L’As is KILLER! Rue des Rosiers in general is just such a good food street!
