You know the feeling when you finish a great book and you’re sad to get to the last page? That’s how I felt with each of these perfect vacation reads. I wanted there to be more, more, more! Luckily, I treat books the same way I treat movies — they’re totally things to be consumed again and again. If you’re headed off on vacation this summer, I would recommend any and all of these! Here are links to each:
Most Talkative | Concierge Confidential | Mr. Darcy Takes a Wife | The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time
Also of note: the new Vanity Fair got delivered to me digitally while we were away, and it made for excellent beachside reading. May I recommend this HILARIOUS article on The Kimmies? Trust, just read it. The only part that makes me sad is that the covers to accompany each item in the story aren’t included like they were in the magazine. But I’m sure you’ll get the general idea. The ‘Best Multi-Part Investigation’ Kimmie slays me.
Welcome home Victoria! Sounds like your vacation was amazing, anytime there is pool side reading involved, it’s a good vacation :)
The curious incident of the dog in the night time is one of my absolute favorites…I read it years ago and loved it.

Awesome! I’m dying to read Most Talkative. These all sound really good! I actually read a few books while on vacation. One was called The Man in the Rockefeller Suit..it’s a trues story and is really fascinating!
Mr. Darcy Takes a Wife is one of my favorite books! So funny and a pretty good continuation, style-wise :)

Most talkative is on my list. I am addicted to Bravo. Is there any other cable channel?

There is nothing like vacation reading. I need to take a vacation with some books!
This list couldn’t have come at a better time! I’ve been trying to read more this year, and the books look great (especially Mr. Darcy!)
In high school, before I could be a teacher’s aid in the special education class, the teacher had me read The Curious Incident, as it had a great perspective into the mind of an autistic child. One of my all-time favorite books!
After reading your blog and then the sample on Amazon, I just bought the Concierge Confidential. It is AMAZING! Such a quick yet interesting read! Thanks :)
I read the Mr. Darcy Takes a Wife @ the beach last summer and you are so right! It was a great beach read and I wasn’t disappointed where the author took the characters either. I was a little hesitant at first, but I ended up loving it!

oOoOo I’m always looking for new books to read, thanks for the recco’s! (I hate “recco’s”, don’t know why I used it just then.)
You missed one, The Killer by Jack Elgos.
