Style to Inspire: The Stylist LA

So I’m a bit of a proud mama hen when it comes to today’s Style to Inspire feature. I first met Emily, founder of the popular dress borrowing company The Stylist LA when she was one of my freshman residents in a dormitory in college. Yes, I was an RA. Are you shocked? It’s okay, I am too. As with most of my residents from my single year of being the fun police, we lost touch, but have recently reconnected via the blog and Twitter world. Since launching in 2009, Emily’s company has seen exponential growth, and she currently outfits every type of client imaginable — from college gals to your favorite reality celebrities (remember Emily the epidemiologist from Ben’s season on the most recent Bachelor? The Stylist LA loaned her that flirty purple number you saw on The Women Tell All!).

The dresses that she stocks? Freaking amazing. And the service isn’t just for southern California based gals…the dresses can be shipped anywhere! Be sure to check out The Stylist LA, and read on for more about Emily, how she got started in the fashion business, and a few pieces she’s coveting right now.

One: This DVF clutch. I dieeee for this one!
Two: This Emerson Thorpe dress in blush! I really want to start carrying this brand. I saw it on a friend and loved it immediately. And the friend doesn’t live in LA…so I can totally copy her style.
Three: These insane cutoff shorts from LF (I am a cutoff jean shorts addict)
Four: This Cornelia Webb Feather Ring (I am also a ring addict)
Five: An iPad. I am dying for one to take with me everywhere for work, and so I can blog/work etc everywhere I go.

I am not sure we are looking at the same website Gilli. This is the company I will turn to for each and every one of my events – and I will never have to borrow the same dress twice because of the awesome selection!

Emily, keep up the good work. You are the best at what you do!
