Palette Play: Mediterranean Inspired

Is it just me, or do the Greek isles (with their sun-dappled cliffs and cerulean and turquoise waters) make for the most beautiful photographs ever? I’m loving the pretty beach inspired color palettes each of these photos provides. Slash, would like to be in any of these photographs, stat.

Joe and I have toyed with the idea of Santorini for the honeymoon next year…though lately, it seems like going to Greece might be ill-advised. Everyone I know who’s hit up the islands though has absolutely loved it. Have you been to Greece? What did you think?

I especially love the color palette of the bottom image. Greece is definitely on my list – Grace went and had an amazing time. I’m not sure if it’s the best time to go…but hopefully you’ll get some good feedback from people in the know :)

P.S. Looking forward to seeing you!!

Love those color palettes! I’ve always wanted to go to Greece for my honeymoon…

My sister went a few years ago and loved it, though I think she liked Turkey/Istanbul the most on that particular trip.

I’m reading the last Sisterhood of the Travelling Pants book right now, and they’re about to go to Santorini, so my guess is that when I’m done reading that my vote will be YES. It looks amazing.

I went to Greece with my family last October and it was honestly one of the most amazing trips I have ever (and probably will ever) experience. Santorini was great (and the stop I was most looking forward to) but a lot of other cities and islands are incredible as well – I highly recommend doing a cruise if you go; it’s a lot less risky in terms of lodging and planning excursions, and you get to see so many more beautiful places!

So happy the mystery of how matched color palettes are created was solved :) Love the selection of pictures, I’ve been dreaming of visiting Greece and these photos only encourage it even more!

I’ve been to Santorini, and seriously, it’s even prettier in real life. I know, completely hard to believe. I’m not sure about the safety advisories, etc, that exist for that region right now, but if you can’t go for your honeymoon, you MUST put it on your list for a later trip. Those islands… amazing. And if you do go, there’s a little town on Santorini called Oia, and I promise you’ll never see more phenomenal sunsets over there. Words cannot describe how pretty it is!

I know it’s tiny, but my little ‘about me’ photo on the right sidebar on my blog is taken on Santorini (in Thira). So pretty!

I’ve been to Greece — seriously amazing! I didn’t visit Santorini (definitely would love to one day!), but there are so many other amazing areas to explore that you don’t hear as much about. We visited Zakynthos and Hydra (they don’t allow cars!), and we also toured the Peloponnesian peninsula.
