One of the most fun things about sharing a room with Chelsea and Molly last month was getting to see what products everyone obsesses over. A new find I brought with me to the conference was Benefit’s They’re Real mascara. I’d heard lots of hype about this stuff, and after using it for a few weeks, I’m really loving it! At first, I wasn’t sure if I would, because to be honest, the wand bristles are so thick, you have to be careful or otherwise the formula will clump on your lashes. However, after playing around with how I apply it, I’m clump free and notice a huge difference before I apply the mascara versus after. They’re Real is great if you’re looking for thick, voluminous lashes. I like it better than CoverGirl’s Lash Blast, which is what I was using before. $12 more? Well, good point. Ask me in another month or two.
The biggest hit with us girls was Molly’s Bombshell curling iron. You might’ve seen me mention it last week on Liz’s Blogger Crushes post, but let me reiterate: this thing is amazing. I’d only ever used a regular curling iron to add waves to my hair, but after seeing how the Bombshell worked its magic on all of us, I’m saving my pennies for one! I don’t know how it does it — is it the high heat? the fact that it’s ceramic? — but this sucker will give you UNBELIEVABLE curls that will last even after sleeping on them. I curled my hair with it Wednesday night, and even by Thursday evening, still had great waves. Chelsea and Molly both did too! Chelsea and I each looked at our hair and were like, “Wow.” Molly, knowingly, just said, “You’ve been Bombshelled.”

Too funny…I just got both of these products about a month ago and I can’t get over how great they are! I’ve literally never been able to curl my hair with a curling iron and have it hold. I could use my Chi, but it was destroying the ends. I too was a CoverGirl Lash Blast user…and as much as I love the Benefit product, I’m not positive that it’s worth the $12 difference.
I just mentioned the benefit mascara on my post today! Too funny :) I just started using it a couple of months ago an LOVE it…just the best, right?! XO brynn

my hair DOES not curl, i repeat – does not curl. its thick and pin straight and usually too heavy too hold a curl but I’ve heard wonders about the sultra bombshell. I need to find someone who owns one so I can give it a try. If you wind up getting one, let me know what you think!!

The sultra bombshell type of curling iron has been intriguing me for over a year now! Is it hard to use, that’s what I’ve been worried about is burning my fingers?
It comes with a glove! However, I found I didn’t even need it, since my hair is so thick. Molly swore by it though!
Ohh you make me want one of those curling irons! Saving pennies now too!

Shoot, shoot, shoot! I was JUST in Sephora today and picked up the Real mascara and almost bought it. My co-worker loves it as well. Wishing I had seen your post before I went in there! Probably going to have to go buy the stuff tomorrow now…
