…to the Duchess of Cambridge, named Hat Person of the Year by The Headwear Association last week. Whether colorful or fancy or demure, the Duchess always manages to look stunning in her toppers. Me? I personally have never thought I could pull off a hat. But this tidbit of news did inspire me to see what hats are currently out there. And it should come as no surprise that the Duchess’s accessory of choice seems to have made its way stateside:
1. The Hat Shop, NYC | 2. Jessica Simpson Bow Cloche, $30 | 3. The Hat Shop, NYC | 4. Cara ‘I Heart Flower’ Fascinator Headband, $58 | 5. French Connection Bow Net Fascinator, $40 | 6. Cara ‘Absolutely Fascinating’ Fascinator, $48 | 7. Glint ‘Double Band’ Cloche, $48 | 8. Nordstrom Wide Brim Floppy Wide Hat, $68 | 9. Nordstrom Side Bow Cloche, $28 | 10. & 11. The Hat Shop, NYC

Fun post! Loved your guest post on Mimi+ Meg too. Great valentine’s picks. xo
I love hats! I especially love big floppy hats like #8. I posted a pic on my blog today showing what I did with the orange lamp! Hope you had a great weekend.
I, like you, have never been a hat person. I always just feel silly. The closest I’ve come is rocking a fedora at the beach every now and then. Just maybe, if I ever go to England, I’ll try one out though!
Love #3 & #8!
I’m not sure I can pull off a hat, but this certainly makes me want to try!
Love this & wish there were occasions I could wear hats without people being really confused :)
I love these hats and I’m determined to wear one at some point in my life…maybe to a polo match! :)
I am jealous of women who look can pull of hats like Kate can. It is probably all in my head (pun intended), but my large noggin just doesn’t look stellar in hats. I hoping to fix that fear this summer and a try a straw fedora while galavanting around Europe, but we’ll see.
super cute – i never been to derby – something on my bucket list i need to attend!
How fun! Love this post…..so many great looking hats. I wish they were more popular in the U.S. as they are in many European countries..so chic!
Love your hat picks, Victoria! Also saw your post on Mimi+Meg- and LOVED it! :)
Oh my gosh, I love Kate. I actually saw her and Will when they came to Canada (on Canada Day, no less!), and was super impressed by the both of them. Well, three of them. Kate’s amaaazing hat (an entity in itself) was inspired by our own Canadian emblem, the maple leaf! Awesome, check it out: http://bit.ly/ztJ34W Love her!
I love no. 8! So chic!
Love #8 – the floppy hat!
Love that 9th one! As you saw in my post today, I’m not typically a hat person but I’d love to be. They’re so gorgeous and add so much to every outfit. Fun finds for a MOnday!
I’ve always really loved hats and kind of wish it was still acceptable to wear them semi-regularly but when you’re not a royal, there are limited opportunities!
I have always loved hats. Even got married during the day so all my guests could wear them.
to say I’m obsessed with the Duchess would be such an understatement… I LOVE the look of hats but just feel like a total goober when I wear one haha. Loved your picks though!!
The fact that there IS a Headwear Association makes my day. I imagine fabulously dressed 80 years.
She is nothing short of fabulous! I can’t say I’ve ever been a hat person, but it’s looking like it’s time to give it a go. Great roundup! xo
HUGE hat fan. you can definitely pull them off, it’s all about confidence. Wear them like they were born to be on your head. I need a reason to wear #1.
I have wished from the moment I found out who Kate Middleton was that I could pull off hats like she does! Especially those gorgeous dainty ones like #5 and 6
I am obsessed with Kate Middleton! I do have to say, that I wear a lot of hats, and number five is right up my alley!
