…with an eyelash curler.
Prior to NYE, I popped into Sephora to pick up a few little false lashes (as I mentioned in this guest post on Viviana’s blog Fashion Truffles last week (I can’t believe I forgot to mention it!), NYE has historically been the only day I will bust out the falsies). I’d been in desperate need of a new eyelash curler too, and decided to check out Molly and Sally’s recommendation of the Tarte version.
I was so surprised to find that this baby was only $15, AND it came with a deluxe sample of Tarte’s Lights, Camera, Lashes mascara. Score!
I’ve been using it for the last few days and while it took a minute to get used to the handle design, I love that you only have to press on your lashes once to get a nice curl — no need to press along the length of the hairs! The only other lash curlers I’ve ever used were from drug stores (I’ve never gotten my hands on one of the famed Shu Uemura’s), so I don’t have much to compare it to…but I like it! No, scratch that, I love it. Because my other curler was in sad, sad disrepair. Slash, kept pinching my lids. Ouch!
What do you swear by to get your lashes looking lovely?
I had this curler too! But then it broke and I was broke…so I got a Revlon one. And it’s not the same…
Must try! I haven’t tried the famed one either however I’m way overdue for a new curler. Will check this one out. Thanks for the tip. Happy New Year.
o sweet i need to grab this next time i go to sephora! thanks for the tip! xo
i use a revlon curler and it’s always been wonderful for me! i have very dark, long lashes, so i have to be careful to not do anything to them to make them look fake or simply too overdone for “everyday.” i swear by maybelline’s full n soft mascara for the best everyday eyes. again one of the things that works and keeps me from looking like i’m in drag!
I’ve got the Shu Uemura and think it’s perfect for Asian eyes! But you’ve got me very intrigued here!
I don’t usually curl because I never get the look I want, this sounds like it’s worth a try though!
I’ve actually never curled my lashes, but for this price, I totally need to give it a try!
I LOVE that curler. My other favorite for lashes is Revlon DoubleLash mascara — it has a comb and brush in one. It makes my lashes super thick, long and separated.
hmm good to know!!
sooo glad you love it as much as we do! it’s seriously life changing if you ask me :)
xx
Funny, because yesterday I fell madly in love with an eyebrow pencil and highlighter. It’s Anastasia and I’m obsessed!
