Though the first stop in our trip is Santa Barbara, I’m eager to get out to the desert and check out the Viceroy in Palm Springs. We’ll be staying there for three nights and I couldn’t be more excited! This will sound really lame, but the first time I heard about this hotel was when Audrina and Justin Bobby stayed there during one season of The Hills, and I remember thinking, “WOW. The design of this hotel is FANTASTIC.” I’ve wanted to stay there ever since!
Built as a series of bungalows in the 1930s, the Viceroy Palm Springs was completely re-decorated by Kelly Wearstler in recent years. The hotels’ style is classic Hollywood Regency, and I think it’s perfect for a desert getaway.
Gorgeous, isn’t it? I love the cherry splashes of yellow throughout the entire property (how fun are those pool loungers!), as well as the whimsical touches like marble busts and greyhound statues that are so distinctly Wearstler.
Can’t make it out to Palm Springs any time soon? Kelly Wearstler has also designed a number of other Viceroy properties that are equally as fabulous:
The Viceroy Anguilla
I would like an afternoon to pamper myself in that bathroom, please.
The Viceroy Miami
This lounge, to me, is what I think of when I think of Miami. Bright, colorful, eclectic, mid-century. Can’t you feel the heat?
The Viceroy Santa Monica
I’m sure a lot of you have seen the above image, but I bet you had no idea it was from a hotel!
Which one’s your favorite?
I’ll be sure to take lots of photos of the Palm Springs Viceroy to share with everyone next week!
