Dwell Studio Fall 2011

Last year, I was tasked with doing a mini-redecoration of my office’s reception area. I ordered some pieces from West Elm and Dwell Studio, and ever since then, have received their catalogs at work. I get some funny looks when they’re delivered in my Inbox, like “Are you seriously ordering furniture at work?” In any case, I take a “Don’t mind if I do!” sort of approach and usually steal a glance through the catalogs anyway. I mean, when covers like this show up in my Inbox, how exactly am I supposed to resist looking?

I mean…a damask ikat couch? With a striped rug? And a mixed frame gallery wall? Did Dwell Studio look into my brain for my “elements that make a great room”? Look at what else they’re peddling this season. It’s good. Real good:

That armoire is ridiculous. The cutout doors are SO pretty. If you like mid-century stuff, Dwell Studio is fantastic. Check out that gold leafed sideboard.

We are still on the hunt for an upholstered headboard, and though it’s out of our price range, I LOVE LOVE LOVE the shape of this one. I’ve been looking for something more than just a basic rectangular shape, but didn’t want anything too curvy or girly. This fits the bill (though I’d probably take it in a different fabric).

Again with the sideboards and the amazing fabrics.

I’ll take one of each, please. And a rug made out of the fabric on the far left. Thaaaanks!

That leather chair is pure goodness. And is that a hexagonal table next to it? I’d like it, if only it had storage. …Oh, it does? Add that to my cart.

These little side tables (pushed together to make a coffee table) made my blood pressure go up. They’re PERFECT. Who doesn’t need a little gold and high gloss white in their house? Nothing like the pair to zhush things up a bit.

As much as I love Dwell’s stuff, everything here is a bit out of my budget for now. But oh how I love to dream! Any pieces here that catch your eye? Do you have a favorite online furniture retailer?

Try Skyline furniture for a headboard. A friend of mine works there – they sell on Amazon and are super affordable!

Seriously, I *hate* Dwell studio…they make me fall in love with so much stuff that is completely out of my price range! I’ve been drooling over one of their duvets for about 6 months now and I’m pretty sure I almost shed a little tear when it was sold out…like I was actually going to buy it anyways! (c: You gals have a blast together and take pics to make us all jealous, m’kay? (c:
