Tuesdays that feel like Mondays

Ugh. Nothing worse than the Tuesday after a three day weekend, am I right?

My three day weekend was pure bliss! Saturday I spent the day doing a bit of shopping for my upcoming beach trip… I was in desperate need of beach cover ups and a new swimsuit. Back story: I did end up ordering this ikat bikini from the Crew, but the fit was all wrong. Not flattering at all. So on Saturday, I figured that I could return it and also shop around for something else.

It’s rare that I go in to Old Navy, but y’all, I scored this adorable navy blue striped bikini (which I can’t find on their website) for $12. As in, top and bottom were each $6. Hooray for INSANE Memorial Day sales! I was actually pleasantly  surprised at the quality and fit of the fabric on this bikini. If you’re in the market for something inexpensive, definitely check it out! And for what it’s worth (literally), for the price of the J.Crew bikini, I got a tunic/cover-up and bikini from Old Navy, a shirt and another bikini from H&M, and some new sunglasses from Anthro. Boo ya.

Sunday we jetted on up to Napa for lunch at Mustards. The valley was packed with people, but the weather was so beautiful, we didn’t mind. At the recommendation of a few of my co-workers, I stopped in at Artesa, which had amazing views, architecture and landscaping.

Yesterday was as low key as they come. I splurged this weekend and bought myself a Nook Color (which I LOVE so far!), and I spent the day doing laundry and reading in bed with all the windows open. Perfection.

Sigh…and now it’s back to the grind. But what makes it a little better is that I can announce the winner of the Memorial Day giveaway!!  Drum roll please…
