Art + a Library

If you’re a sucker for the classics like I am, you’ll love the posters from the Postertext Etsy shop. Taking famous, beloved titles like Alice in Wonderland and Pride and Prejudice, the artist uses the full text from these books to depict a famous scene or characterization. A gallery of these would be so cool, especially in a kids room or a home library!

Peter Pan

Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland

What book would you love to see depicted? I adore the Pride and Prejudice print (natch), but I’d be over the moon for an A Confederacy of Dunces poster. There are so many good possibilities!

{Credits: Discovered these via the Victoire de Samothrace Tumblr. You can see the full collection of prints here.}

    Give us Ignatius! All you’d need is a silhouette of a Lucky Dog cart.

      As long as it had Ignatius in the pirate costume with it. Or, alternatively, him leading the factory workers in revolt.

      OMG, best book ever.

        Pirate Ignatius would be perfect! One of my absolute favorite books, too. I went to Tulane and I believe I met all the characters during my time in New Orleans.
